Job Title: Special Security Representative

At Advantage SCI, we are seeking a highly skilled Special Security Representative to join our team. As a Special Security Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIFs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement local SCIF Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Emergency Plans (EP), policies, and guidance.
  • Conduct SCIF inspections, corrective action planning, and on-site support.
  • Process and issue Courier Orders and Aircraft Courier Authorizations.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for SCIF accreditation/certification for classified IT.
  • Conduct Semi and Annual IDS testing and USM directed Security Review; Annual Self-Inspections, SOP/EP reviews and EP testing.
  • Institute/maintain access process to authorized SCIF users; maintain access control roster.
  • Execute visitor control functions to include security clearance verification.
  • Verify/validate clearances and accesses.
  • Investigate known or suspected security violations, incidents, and unauthorized disclosures.
  • Ensure SCIF integrity through alarm monitoring, management, and auditing of the access control system.
  • Receive/validate incoming clearances and accesses; pass clearances and SCI accesses; prepare Visit Authorization Request (VAR) and Permanent Certifications.
  • Verify/vet news media personnel/equipment for SCIF interviews.
  • Review/processing foreign travel/contact requests and verify/vet foreign nationals.
  • Administer the annual SCI and Derivative Classification Refresher training.
  • Coordinate/execute Co-Utilization Authorizations.
  • Serve as the Alternate Information System Security Officer (AISSO) for designated SCIF space.
  • Servicing industrial security SCIFs in the National Capital Region.
  • Conduct preliminary inquiries for security incidents and perform the preliminary inquiry documentation and recommendations.
  • Maintain access codes, spin-dial combinations, intrusion detection system codes and keys for SCI Facilities/doors.
  • Conduct onsite monitoring of security systems and respond as necessary to system failures/power outages to provide security support of the space.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum Four (4) Years' experience as a Special Security Representative or similar position with duties as described above.
  • Experience handling customer service for a government organization or private corporation in an official capacity.
  • College education and management experience is desired, but not required.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral reporting skills, interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:

Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time. Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach. Able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally. Noise level: Low to moderate.
