About the Role

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer V to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and mentoring to a team of cyber engineers, as well as providing technical guidance to data scanning initiatives and projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with a concentration on data scanning and DLP. They will also have experience leading technical teams and working with Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team of cyber engineers
  • Provide technical guidance to data scanning initiatives and projects
  • Evaluate technical solutions in response to business challenges
  • Provide thought leadership in support continuous improvements and service maturation
  • Present technical solutions as needed for knowledge sharing and acceptance
  • Provide project support and status reporting
  • Establish and maintain system documentation
  • Represent changes via CAB meetings
  • Collaborate with partnering teams in support of solution development and deployment

Qualifications:

  • Strong team player, able to communicate and show leadership amongst teams of similarly knowledgeable specialists and Engineers
  • Experience leading technical teams
  • Experience working with Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Minimum (7) years' experience in Cyber Engineering with a concentration on data scanning and DLP
  • Minimum (7) years' experience with System design, administration, security, and DLP rule development
  • Proficient and professional verbal and written communication, including group training
  • Practical understanding of machine learning and automation

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10 years' experience with data scanning and DLP design, administration, and security
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Active CISSP Certification
