POSITION SUMMARY:


As a Certified Medical Assistant in the Rheumatology department, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care under the guidance of healthcare professionals, including physicians and registered nurses. Your responsibilities will align with established protocols and standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Provide a range of patient care services while adhering to clinical guidelines.
2. Assist in the preparation and management of patient records and documentation.
3. Support healthcare providers in various clinical tasks as required.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


No prior experience is necessary for this role.


CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:


There are no mandatory certifications required by law.


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:


1. Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association is preferred as needed by the practice.
2. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program recognized by CAAHEP or ABHES, or completion of a Nursing Assistant program is required.
3. BLS certification is mandatory.
4. Previous experience in a medical office setting, such as an internship, is advantageous.
5. Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized organization is essential.
