Job Overview

This role is centered around delivering outstanding customer service to patients and their families, ensuring seamless interactions throughout their healthcare experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Efficiently manage patient appointment scheduling through electronic systems.
  • Confirm patient information, including demographics and insurance details, during the registration process.
  • Timely collection of co-payments, deductibles, and any outstanding balances from patients.
  • Respond to phone inquiries from patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance representatives.
  • Assist patients in completing necessary registration forms and documentation.
  • Facilitate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers as instructed by physicians.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations in all communications.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and support staff to enhance patient satisfaction and ensure continuity of care.
  • Carry out additional administrative tasks as required, including filing, scanning, and data entry.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • An associate degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience in a customer service capacity.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
