Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
- Efficiently manage patient appointment scheduling through electronic systems.
- Confirm patient information, including demographics and insurance details, during the registration process.
- Timely collection of co-payments, deductibles, and any outstanding balances from patients.
- Respond to phone inquiries from patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance representatives.
- Assist patients in completing necessary registration forms and documentation.
- Facilitate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers as instructed by physicians.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations in all communications.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and support staff to enhance patient satisfaction and ensure continuity of care.
- Carry out additional administrative tasks as required, including filing, scanning, and data entry.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- An associate degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience in a customer service capacity.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
