About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at Stardom Employment Consultants. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data ingestion solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Thinking: Think long-term and strategically to drive business growth and success.
  2. Leadership and Collaboration: Delegate and empower Tech Leads for low-level design, collaborate with Tech Leads on high-level solution design, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  3. Data Ingestion: Design solutions for use cases in your domain, blueprint your domain use cases, and participate in the discovery process early on.
  4. Solution Review and Timeboxing: Review and timebox solutions ahead of time (2 sprints ahead) to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  5. Integration Patterns: Apply and refine approved integration patterns to ensure consistency and reliability.
  6. Architecture Alignment: Collaborate and influence other architects to align on data solution architecture and principles.
  7. Team Leadership: Influence the team to move towards the future state while being pragmatic, and advocate for the data team strategy, principles, and adoption.
  8. Partnerships and Collaboration: Partner with Product Owners and Engineering Managers on EPICs and tech platform strategy, and co-lead/co-chair applicable Communities of Practice with the Product Manager.
Senior Solutions Architect Responsibilities
  • Thought Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor, influencer, and thought leader to drive business growth and success.
  • Technology Strategy: Translate business objectives into technology-enabled solutions to deliver needed capabilities, and influence technology strategy and advise senior leaders.
  • Innovation and Leadership: Apply broad technical and industry knowledge to lead innovative solutions delivery, provide leadership to support and maintain technology capabilities, and collaborate across domains to understand business information and system implications.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with leaders to align business and technical concepts, and mentor, train, and coach staff.
Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesData Products
  • Data Ingestion: Develop and maintain the architecture for data ingestion processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Data Requirements: Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across various data sources and ingestion pipelines.
  • Data Governance and Security: Implement data governance and security best practices in data ingestion processes.
General
  • Business Enablement: Identify information and technology solutions that enable business needs and strategies.
  • Technology Advisory: Apply business knowledge and experience to advise on technology as an enabler, and analyze IT industry and market trends to determine potential impacts.
  • Technology Development: Develop concepts and constructs to create technology-enabled business systems, and influence technology direction and provide thought leadership.
  • Initiative Management: Consult on and manage initiatives to ensure alignment across multiple business and IT areas, mitigate risks, and provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to others.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role focusing on data lake ingestion and integration.
  • Data Architecture Principles: Strong understanding of data architecture principles, and hand-on experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and DataBricks, and excellent SQL and data manipulation skills.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and strategically, and effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a Product Operating Model.
