Position Summary

As a Senior Inventory Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in a company that emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and excellence in logistics management. We are in search of a highly experienced Senior Inventory Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in inventory oversight, a robust analytical approach, and exceptional leadership skills. This role entails ensuring precise inventory levels, refining inventory protocols, and executing effective inventory management strategies to maximize profitability and minimize expenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Oversight: Spearhead the development and execution of Material Planning, Warehousing, and Inventory Control initiatives within a rapidly growing manufacturing startup.
  • Production Management: Direct the creation and application of Clear-to-Build, Stock Evolution, and SIOP processes, conducting regular assessments with cross-functional teams to mitigate stock-out risks.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Design and implement a cycle counting program along with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure top-tier inventory accuracy. Develop and train on material handling processes to uphold strict adherence to inventory protocols.
  • Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering teams to utilize Inventory Management software for determining optimal stock levels, thereby minimizing production disruptions and excess inventory.
  • Warehouse Efficiency: Create, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness in material handling operations.
  • 3PL Management: Oversee relationships with third-party logistics providers managing external warehouses and plan for additional capacity as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of material handlers and inventory control specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Engage closely with production, engineering, procurement, logistics, and finance teams to align material planning with production requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports on inventory levels and supply chain performance for senior management review.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM) are preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years in material planning, inventory control, or supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Experience in determining optimal inventory levels and managing parameters in MRP/ERP systems.
    • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to effectively lead and inspire teams.
