Job Title: Provider Contract/Cost of Care Analyst Sr.

We are seeking a highly skilled Provider Contract/Cost of Care Analyst Sr. to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our Cost of Care and/or Provider Contracting organizations, you will play a critical role in analytical support to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform varied data analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve the quality of care.
  • Develop and implement ROI models and healthcare cost analysis to inform contract negotiations and pricing strategies.
  • Project cost increases in medical services using analytic techniques and multiple variable analysis.
  • Prepare pre-negotiation analyses to support the development of defensible pricing strategies and contract scenarios.
  • Measure and evaluate the cost impact of various negotiation proposals and recommend modifications as applicable.
  • Research the financial profitability and competitive environment of providers to determine the impact of proposed rates.
  • Project different cost of savings targets based on various analytics and identify cost of care savings opportunities.
  • Review results post-implementation to ensure projected cost savings are realized and recommend modifications as necessary.
  • Recommend standardized practices to optimize cost of care and educate provider contractors on contracting analytics from a financial impact perspective.
  • Participate on project teams involved with enterprise-wide initiatives.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in broad-based analytical, managed care payor or provider environment.
  • Experience in statistical analysis and healthcare modeling.
Preferred Skills:
  • Master's degree.
  • Proficiency in SQL or SAS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Access.
  • Ability to work well with others.
