- Proficiency in project estimation software, MS Office, and the ability to read blueprints.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills with a results-oriented mindset.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive forecasts of project costs by analyzing drawings and specifications, gathering relevant details, compiling data, and conducting site visits prior to estimate submission, including a CSI division breakdown of costs and a document outlining assumptions and clarifications.
- Evaluate raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation costs for accurate estimations.
- Assist in determining the necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budget constraints.
- Assess project timelines for completion.
- Develop and distribute complete bid packages for all trade partners and vendors, including scopes of work, alternates, allowances, and breakouts.
- Qualify all trade partner/vendor bids and level costs as needed to ensure a complete scope of work.
- Review costs confidently, both internally and externally, to ensure client satisfaction and achieve project awards.
- Lead estimating efforts for traditional Design-bid-build projects, including hard bids and GC and Fees.
- Support the mentoring and professional development of interns, coordinators, and assistant estimators.
