Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality before they reach ADDMAN Engineering's clients. This role involves supporting the maintenance and enhancement of the quality management system to align with customer expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and provide support for all quality-related activities, including in-process, receiving, final inspections, and calibration assessments.
  • Act as the primary contact for resolving quality issues prior to product delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Quality to develop and maintain Quality System Standards.
  • Assist in compliance with all ISO standard requirements.
  • Address customer complaints and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Create quality plans and inspection methodologies tailored to customer specifications.
  • Recommend updates to internal documentation as needed.
  • Help formulate quality control processes and procedures.
  • Suggest capital equipment investments focused on enhancing labor productivity.
  • Design or specify inspection and testing tools and equipment.
  • Employ six-sigma quality methodologies to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control processes and outcomes.
  • Maintain and support processes, procedures, and key performance indicators associated with the role.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Ensure regular and punctual attendance.

ITAR COMPLIANCE:

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), necessitating U.S. citizenship status.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical experience, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with advanced measurement and inspection techniques.
  • Understanding of ISO standards.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and geometric tolerancing.
  • Knowledge of process control and statistical methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This role requires exposure to manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes, is mandatory.
  • Work is typically conducted in ambient temperatures with standard plant lighting and equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit or stand as needed.
  • Walking primarily on level surfaces for extended periods.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as necessary to access documents or store materials.
  • Proper lifting techniques are essential.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
