Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Project Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Organizing project controls, planning, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
- Leading a team of project controls professionals on-site.
- Developing and maintaining the project Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule.
- Addressing daily challenges to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
- Creating and managing job tracking systems for schedule, productivity, and costs.
- Overseeing cost management, including forecasting and budget analysis.
- Identifying and submitting Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Participating in weekly updates with clients.
- Preparing and delivering weekly progress reports to clients.
- Managing change orders and coordinating with site supervision to develop work packages.
- Preparing and submitting client invoices.
- Maintaining logs for RFIs, change orders, invoices, and other essential documentation.
- Updating schedules of values and preparing client invoices.
- Managing materials, equipment, and subcontractors as necessary.
- Generating reports tailored to client specifications.
- Performing additional tasks as required to align with the organization's objectives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in project controls management.
- Preferred experience in electrical and instrumentation construction.
- Preferred experience in industrial construction.
- Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and procurement processes.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Primavera P6 software.
- Capability to create CPM schedules and identify critical paths.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Consistent and reliable attendance.
