Mental Health Clinician

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support services to individuals and families.
Job SummaryThe Mental Health Clinician will work closely with our clinical and wellness coordinator to ensure that PHQ9 screenings are completed and re-assessed as needed. You will also provide open communication between supervisors, direct care staff members, family members, guardians, and collateral individuals regarding an individual's status/progress.
You will be responsible for providing clinical oversight of the clinical and wellness coordinator, creating service plans, and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings. Additionally, you will conduct training/in-service trainings, complete monthly/quarterly progress notes, and attend professional development meetings.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the clinical and wellness coordinator to ensure PHQ9 screenings are completed and re-assessed as needed.
- Provide open communication between supervisors, direct care staff members, family members, guardians, and collateral individuals regarding an individual's status/progress.
- Provide clinical oversight of the clinical and wellness coordinator.
- Create service plans for individuals who require mental health care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Conduct training/in-service trainings as needed.
- Complete monthly/quarterly progress notes.
- Attend professional development meetings.
- Licensed or provisionally licensed in the State of New York (LMSW).
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a closely related field (behavioral health).
- 1-2 years' experience working in a behavioral health setting preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Flexible with work schedule and job duties with the ability to effectively meet changing priorities and deadlines.
- Adept in problem-solving skills and able to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
- Ability to interact with people of all ages in a supportive manner.
- Familiarity with management and structure, regulatory and licensing standards, and the ability to implement them at an agency and program level.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other required computer programs.
- Minimum age requirement is 21 years.
- Meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by Equus Workforce Solutions and/or state regulations.
We offer a competitive salary of $42.00 per hour, which reflects the market rate for this position in the New York area.
