Job Summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our Emergency Department team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide indirect and direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities, such as nutrition, hygiene, and safety.
  • Assist patients with physical and psychological comfort measures, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, staff, physicians, family members, and visitors.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Florida CNA license required.
  • Hospital PCT/CNA experience preferred.
  • Nursing students: currently enrolled in a Nursing program (ASN or BSN) and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing (must submit unofficial transcript with application).
