About the Position

The HR Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of human resources, encompassing employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, payroll, and compliance with company policy. A successful candidate will foster sustainable relationships with employees, site leadership, and the corporate office, providing guidance on policy application, relevant laws, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide counseling and coaching to employees and management on employee relations matters and company policies, programs, and benefits.
  • Recommend and administer OFI or corrective action plans, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Administer company and site policies, programs, and benefits, acting as a liaison with corporate for change management and conducting necessary training.
  • Act as a liaison for employee programs and benefits, coordinating and facilitating benefit meetings during open enrollment.
  • Ensure new hire and termination paperwork is processed, and employee data is current and accurate within the system of record, maintaining proper employee files in accordance with policy and law.
  • Participate in the maintenance, development, and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Perform recruiting duties for non-exempt positions, liaising with temporary agencies as necessary, including job advertisement creation, interviewing, and selection.
  • Complete onboarding functions for new employees, including system onboarding, new employee orientation, and necessary training coordination.
  • May perform routine reporting functions to support the business.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred or equivalent years of experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources with progressive duties in employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compensation, and/or training required.
  • Prior experience in warehousing, third-party logistics, and/or distribution centers preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership role and/or managing others desired.
