About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mentor. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting at-risk children and families, providing them with the tools and resources they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct mentoring services to assigned clients on a weekly basis, fostering positive relationships and promoting healthy development.
  • Establish and maintain regular contact with clients' families, ensuring effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Submit timely client contact sheets and enter case notes into our data management system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors and colleagues, providing updates on client progress and seeking support as needed.
  • Complete all required training and attend staff, quality improvement, and regional meetings, staying informed and engaged in our organization's mission.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or college hours are preferred.
  • At least 21 years of age, with prior experience working with youth preferred.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with children and adolescents, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Skilled in effective communication, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Valid driver's license, with a risk-free driving record, and willingness to undergo background checks and screenings.
