Position Overview
As a Loan Processing Specialist for SBA, you will operate under minimal supervision, leveraging your specialized expertise and skills acquired through training and experience to manage small business financing and prepare necessary settlement documentation.
Your role will involve resolving complex issues and providing recommendations for solutions. You will engage extensively with both internal and external stakeholders to gather, clarify, and disseminate information, as well as to identify, investigate, and address any challenges that arise.
Key Responsibilities- Collects necessary documentation and processes all small business loan applications.
- Ensures adherence to banking regulations and compliance standards.
- Enters loan information into settlement and SBA systems for initiation and activation.
- Facilitates settlements with clients for the acquisition of SBA loans.
- Prepares funding packages for settlement.
- Maintains monthly inventory of loan certificates.
- Processes and records all principal and interest payments for SBA loans.
- Handles loan payoffs and ensures accurate posting.
- Balances fees associated with SBA loan transfers.
- Undertakes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Conducts reconciliation for principal and interest payments between investors and originators.
- Acts as a customer service liaison for safekeeping accounts.
- Performs analysis on safekeeping statements.
