Job Summary:

As a Mental Health Professional, you will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for adult and child members presenting with a range of mental health needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and support to members and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for members with acute or chronic mental illness, in collaboration with the treating physician and allied health professionals.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and psychotherapy research methods.
  • Instruct and counsel patients and their families regarding adherence to prescribed therapeutic regimens and medication regimens, within the scope of practice.
  • Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries, maintaining accurate and confidential records in accordance with state and NCQA regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications, within the scope of practice.
  • Utilize resources of public and private agencies and community organizations to meet the needs of members' treatment, including referral to external resources as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting/program under licensed supervision.
  • Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
Work Environment:

This position is located in Sacramento, California, and may require travel to other locations as needed. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality care to members.
