Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Care Pod Medical Director to lead our clinical teams in the East Bay region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our primary care clinics, ensuring high-quality patient care, and driving business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Clinical Operations
    • Lead and manage a team of clinicians, including physicians, PAs, and NPs, to deliver high-quality patient care.
    • Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of clinical and operational processes.
  • Quality Management
    • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
    • Monitor and analyze clinical data to identify areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with clinicians to develop and implement evidence-based practices.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage budgets to ensure financial sustainability.
    • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with clinicians to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of clinicians.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with HR to ensure effective employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain effective communication with clinicians, patients, and other stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of clinical and operational processes.
    • Represent Carbon Health in the community and with external partners.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Active MD, DO, NP, or PA license, board certified or board eligible.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in primary care setting.
    • At least 2 years of leading primary care teams in the practice setting.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
