Job SummaryUnder the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students in a classroom; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; assist students in developing various self-help, social and community skills.
Responsibilities- Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students in a classroom.
- Monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance.
- Assist students in developing various self-help, social and community skills.
- Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience working with children or individuals with disabilities.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
This position requires the SCOE Para Proficiency certificate OR one of the following: NCLB/ESSA certificate, CBEST, or transcripts showing minimum 48 college units or date AA Degree or higher was awarded.
BenefitsA Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day.
