About the Role
The Ambulatory Clinic Medical Assistant utilizes exceptional organizational and communication skills to support a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality patient care. This role requires a unique blend of administrative and clinical expertise, ensuring seamless coordination between healthcare providers and patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepares examination rooms for patients, accurately documenting vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information.
- Assists licensed nurses and physicians with routine medical procedures, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records, utilizing EMRs to streamline data management.
- Coordinates scheduling, lab tests, and referrals, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Demonstrates exceptional problem-solving skills, responding promptly to patient concerns and escalating issues as necessary.
- Collaborates with nursing staff to ensure efficient workflow, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program or equivalent experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, maintaining current licensure in Kansas and/or Missouri.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a strong focus on attention to detail.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs), MS Office Suite, and other software applications.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $62,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
