About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technologist III to join our team at Neuro Pathway LLC. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of neurodiagnostic services.

Job Summary

The EEG Technologist III will perform routine and complex procedures to obtain data for use in the clinical diagnosis of disorders of the nervous system. This will involve working in various diagnostic and research areas, including Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Epilepsy Monitoring, and Polysomnography (PSG).

Responsibilities
  1. Schedule patients for neurodiagnostic procedures and obtain required medical information.
  2. Prepare patients for tests, including measuring and marking cranial areas and fastening electrodes to specified positions on the scalp and body.
  3. Document pertinent medical history from patients or family members.
  4. Operate computer equipment to record nervous system responses and provide quantitative and objective measures of neuronal/sensory function.
  5. Perform procedures with appropriate documentation and identify EEG waveforms/patterns during testing.
  6. Clean, adjust, and perform routine maintenance and repair on neurodiagnostic equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  7. Collaborate with supervisors and medical personnel to resolve problems and advise on laboratory procedures, techniques, and equipment.
  8. React in medical emergencies to ensure patient safety and know unit and hospital procedures for working with high-acuity patients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma and 6 months of patient care experience or an associate or bachelor's degree.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
