At The Waterford on Cooper, a Sonida Senior Living community, we're seeking an experienced Activities Director to lead our team in creating a vibrant and engaging community for our residents. As a key member of our staff, you'll be responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a seven-day week activity calendar that promotes socialization, recreation, and personal growth.
  • Conduct assessments to identify the special needs of each resident and create personalized plans to accommodate those needs.
  • Collaborate with residents to plan recreation objectives and goals, ensuring their involvement and engagement in community activities.
  • Organize facility activities and outings that foster a sense of community and connection among residents.
  • Maintain a positive image and establish strong relationships within the community, including press relations, promotional activities, and resident engagement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
  • Certification as an Activity Professional is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in activities management is preferred.
