The Human Resources Specialist will deliver comprehensive HR support within the daily operations of the Human Resources department. Ideal candidates will possess a solid understanding of employee relations, benefits administration, employment law, and compliance with government reporting regulations impacting HR functions. This role will ensure that policies, procedures, and reporting are consistently aligned with compliance standards.

Key responsibilities will encompass onboarding new employees, advertising job openings on various platforms, assisting with recruitment efforts, managing employee relations, preparing HR metrics reports, auditing employee records, maintaining employee data in the HRIS, overseeing employee benefits, and participating in special projects as assigned.

We seek an individual who is proactive, innovative, and detail-oriented. A strong grasp of employment law, including FMLA, Workers Compensation, ADA, EEO1, and Vets 100 reporting, is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively, are required.

Qualifications:

  1. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with four or more years of relevant experience demonstrating knowledge of federal and state HR laws and regulations; or a combination of relevant education, experience, and demonstrated skills that enable satisfactory performance.
  2. PHR or SHRM-CP certification must be maintained at the employee's expense throughout employment.
