We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Airport Ambassador to join our team at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. As a key representative of our organization, you will provide exceptional service to travelers from around the world, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience at Washington Dulles International Airport.
Key Responsibilities- Guide passengers through international arrivals areas, managing queues and directing customers to various check-in points and customs areas.
- Respond to passenger inquiries and concerns, providing accurate information on flights, customs processes, and airport amenities.
- Assist passengers with navigating U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and processes.
- Participate in customer service initiatives, such as the Going the Extra Mile program.
- Support special events and promotional activities by providing information and general customer service assistance.
- Must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card).
- Ability to interact with diverse groups of people and provide assistance as needed.
- Ability to work independently and solve routine problems.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
- One year of customer service experience.
- Fluency in one or more high-demand foreign languages, such as Amharic, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Russian, or Telegu.
This is a non-career, temporary position that requires flexibility and adaptability. You must be willing to work less than 30 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, and be subject to hold-over and recall on a 24-hour basis for essential services and emergencies.
This role requires standing, walking, and light physical effort to move supplies or equipment. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with job pressures due to disruptions in passenger flow and/or from questions and concerns from passengers or airline personnel.
A background security investigation will be required for all new hires.
