Job Opportunity

ReNEW Schools is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Psychiatrist to join our team as a Program Psychiatrist for the ReNEW Therapeutic Program (RTP). As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide high-quality healthcare services to students participating in the RTP, including medication management, family psychoeducation, and collaboration with the RTP team to improve student outcomes.

This is a part-time position, requiring 1-2 days of work per week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to ReNEW's mission, a valid license to practice medicine in Louisiana, and board certification or eligibility in psychiatry.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee medication management services, including prescribing and monitoring medications
  • Communicate and collaborate with parents and families of children in the program
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations as part of the intake process, as needed
  • Track and enter services in our electronic medical record platform
  • Work collaboratively with the RTP team to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of students participating in the RTP program
Requirements

  • A valid license to practice medicine in Louisiana without restriction or subject to any disciplinary or corrective action
  • Board certification or eligibility in the field of psychiatry
