Position Overview:

As a Lead Respiratory Care Supervisor, you will oversee the local team in delivering exceptional, patient-centered, and economically viable pulmonary care services. Your role will ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate in the formulation, execution, and assessment of pulmonary care standards.
- Facilitate the coordination of Treatment Plans and ensure a customer-oriented service delivery.
- Guarantee that all patient care aligns with legal, administrative, and regulatory standards while adhering to established protocols.
- Partner with the Pulmonary Clinical Services Manager and other healthcare professionals to enhance the efficiency of patient care services and outcomes.
- Identify and propose best practice models to elevate service quality.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of practice standards aimed at improving service delivery to members.
- Contribute to achieving financial objectives by planning, developing, monitoring, and adjusting annual budgets.
- Recognize opportunities for cost reduction while upholding service quality.
- Supervise staff to ensure they are fully equipped to provide top-tier care to members.
- Aid in determining optimal staffing levels to maintain service quality.
- Develop and present training programs for pulmonary staff.
- Oversee daily operations, safety programs, and risk management initiatives within the department.
Qualifications:

- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years in respiratory care within a diverse healthcare environment is required.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) is mandatory.
- Licensure/Certification: Must possess a Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California) and a Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
Additional Skills:
  • Familiarity with budgeting, staffing, systems, quality enhancement, and clinical service delivery in an inpatient context.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Able to thrive in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in respiratory care, healthcare administration, nursing, business administration, or four (4) years of relevant experience.
