Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement pulmonary standards and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care
• Coordinate Plans of Treatment and customer-focused delivery of services
• Ensure all patient care is in compliance with administrative, legal, and regulatory requirements
• Work with healthcare providers to develop and implement efficient patient care services and outcomes
• Identify and recommend best practice models to improve quality and service
• Assist in developing and evaluating standards of practice to improve quality and service
• Meet short and long-term financial goals by planning, developing, monitoring, adjusting, and evaluating annual budgets
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality of services
• Supervise staff to ensure they are fully competent in providing high-quality care to patients
• Assist in determining appropriate staffing to maintain service levels
• Develop and present in-service programs to respiratory staff
• Supervise daily unit operations, department, and employee safety programs, and risk management

Requirements:
• Minimum two years of experience in respiratory care in a multi-faceted healthcare system, multi-service provider setting, or academic setting
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
• Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate from National Board of Respiratory Care
• Knowledge of budgeting, staffing, systems, quality improvement, and clinical care delivery in an inpatient setting
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
• Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in respiratory care, healthcare administration, nursing, or business administration
• Four years of experience in a directly related field
