Job Overview

The Banquet Team Lead at The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection plays a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing all banquet events. This key member of the Hospitality/Restaurant team must possess excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure seamless execution.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of banquet events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Communicate effectively with banquet staff and other hotel departments to guarantee a smooth event.
  • Train and supervise banquet staff to maintain high standards of service and procedure adherence.
  • Coordinate table arrangements, linens, and event equipment according to specifications.
  • Maintain the banquet space to meet the hotel's cleanliness standards.
  • Collaborate with clients and event planners to confirm event details and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during events.
  • Assist with ordering and inventory management of banquet supplies and equipment.
  • Support administrative tasks, such as creating event orders and managing guest counts and room setups.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings and staff gatherings as required.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in banquet or event management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to train and supervise banquet staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software.
