We are seeking a dedicated full-time Patient Services Coordinator to join a dynamic primary care team.

Education Requirements

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Familiarity with office operations and medical terminology, including but not limited to administrative functions, patient chart preparation, and basic computer proficiency.

Experience and Skills

Experience:

For entry-level positions, prior experience in office administration or reception, or at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.


Skills:
Proficient telephone communication, customer service, basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, effective time management, teamwork, multi-tasking, organizational skills, and scheduling capabilities.
Responsibilities
Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, whether in person or via phone

Front Office personnel rotate daily between Check-in, Check-out, and other desks to manage patient calls.

Answers incoming calls while maintaining a courteous and consistent phone demeanor, adhering to proper telephone etiquette.
Ensures the reception area is tidy and well-organized.
Registers new patients and updates existing patient information by gathering detailed personal and financial data.

Collects patient demographic details, insurance card copies, driver’s license, and billing information, entering it into the system promptly.

Facilitates patient flow by notifying healthcare providers of patient arrivals, monitoring delays, and communicating effectively with patients and clinical staff.

Responds to inquiries from patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a professional manner.
Manages appointment scheduling.
Handles all incoming and outgoing faxes, as well as managing Providers' Pre-Certifications and Prior Authorizations.
Front Office staff may be required to work evening or weekend shifts.

Maintains patient confidentiality, ensuring that protected health information is secured and not left visible, and logs off the computer when unattended.
