Role Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in the management of food preparation and presentation for various catering events, including breakfasts, lunches, receptions, and dinners. This position offers a balanced work schedule primarily from Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and overseeing expenditures.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and implement innovative menus.
  • Oversee the execution of catering events, ensuring high-quality food service.
  • Assist in launching new culinary initiatives in partnership with the marketing and culinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts.
  • Progressive experience in culinary or kitchen management.
  • Experience in catering is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with high-volume food service operations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking practices.
  • Strong understanding of food trends, quality control, sanitation, and presentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications.
  • Willingness to engage in client satisfaction initiatives.
  • ServSafe certification is preferred.
