Position Overview:

This role encompasses a variety of duties crucial to the effective operation and execution of the Creative Arts Day Camp under the auspices of the VCUarts Department of Art Education, aligning with its educational mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction to participants of the summer program.
  • Conduct sessions that provide students with hands-on experience across multiple artistic mediums such as sculpture, digital arts, printmaking, painting, drawing, bookmaking, textiles, and more.
  • Maintain the quality and effectiveness of the Creative Arts Day Camp.
  • Uphold program policies and procedures consistently.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Program Director.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate or current undergraduate student in art education.
  • Relevant teaching experience and/or exceptional oral communication skills.
  • Proven experience in fostering a diverse environment or a commitment to promoting diversity as a faculty member.
