Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Gameplay Systems Programmer to join our Gameplay Framework team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining gameplay systems, APIs, and features within Unreal Engine that enable our licensees to build the next generation of amazing gameplay experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve and maintain the Gameplay Ability System and collaborate with the team to design the future of abilities in Unreal.
  • Provide guidance and share knowledge with other teams on how to solve problems effectively.
  • Enhance existing systems to be more performant, scalable, and stable.
  • Build and maintain bridges with other teams within the Engine group to drive and maintain vision.
  • Diagnose CPU and network performance issues to unlock the full potential of the engine for licensees.
  • Pursue innovative ways to push the technology forward.
Requirements
  • Strong C++ skills and programming principles knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of networked game principles.
  • Adjacent experience in AI, input, animation, or physics.
  • Talent for building robust, extensible, maintainable systems.
  • Experience developing AAA games or game engine technology professionally.
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal).
