About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech PRN to join our team at Independence Park Imaging. As a Radiology Tech PRN, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality radiographs of patients, ensuring radiation safety, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain quality radiographs of patients within the department and with portable equipment in a timely manner.
  • Comply with radiation safety guidelines for patients and self, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently.
  • Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS, ensuring proper charges are entered and referring physician's orders are verified.
  • Rendere patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, monitoring inventory of supplies and maintaining room cleanliness.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete the verification process in PACS.
  • Assist the Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS clean up, including tasks such as cleaning CR plates, erasing cassettes, and closing and sending exams from workstations.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician certification.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
  • Vocational School Graduate.
