About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our team in Portland, ME. As a key member of our environmental consulting team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of environmental investigation and remediation projects in the northeast.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct project execution and advise on technical direction
  • Interface with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget
  • Monitor project costs, risks, and schedule to support project managers in meeting project objectives
  • Participate in internal management briefings on project statuses
  • Assist project managers in preparing monthly reporting and billing to customers
  • Manage procurement strategy for subcontracted scope elements
  • Solve complex technical and logistical challenges with project execution
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project team members to address client goals and objectives
  • Ensure quality of project deliverables
  • Participate in proposal efforts
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science
  • 5-7 years of task management or assistant project management experience with a focus on environmental investigations and remediation
  • Registered Professional Engineer, Licensed Geologist, Project Management Professional, or equivalent credential preferred
  • Self-motivated problem solver with high attention to detail
  • Strong communication, report writing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact with clients and stakeholders in a professional and ethical manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a team
  • Must have a driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project sites (20% travel anticipated)
