Mental Health Associate

At Communicare Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Associate to join our team. As a key member of our behavioral health services team, you will provide direct support to consumers, working under the close supervision of a qualified mental health professional (QMHP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide face-to-face individual therapy on an outpatient basis, working collaboratively with clients to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Assist in the provision of group therapy for chronic clients or other client groups, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Accompany client groups on recreational outings or other activities, fostering social connections and community engagement.
- Participate in the development of treatment plans under supervision, ensuring comprehensive and individualized care.
- Make progress notes in client records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Complete documentation concerning client services related to treatment and billings, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Attend supervision sessions as directed by supervisor, engaging in ongoing professional development and growth.
- Participate in agency continuing quality improvement (CQI) activities, contributing to the enhancement of our services and programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or other mental health-related field.
- Good computer skills, superior oral and written communication skills, articulate, trustworthy, and decisive.
- Highly organized, good anticipatory planning, conflict resolution, and analytical skills.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
- Visual acuity necessary for updating files and completing documents.
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching to file records.
- Hearing and talking necessary to answer phone and talk with employees and other individuals.
- Work is light with walking, standing, and sitting.
- Manual dexterity required to perform work processing and other clerical duties.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Adhere to Communicare Inc policies and procedures.
- Attend mandatory in-services and other training/educational programs as required.
