Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care within a dynamic Mental Health Department setting.

This rewarding role involves collaborating with a skilled interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care. You will play a vital part in assessing patient needs, developing personalized care plans, administering medications, and monitoring progress toward recovery.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with prescribers, pharmacies, and clients to optimize medication regimens.
  • Manage prior authorizations, appeals, and formulary medications effectively.
  • Provide direct care to a manageable caseload of clients requiring medication management support.
  • Conduct thorough quarterly check-ins and update Treatment Plans annually.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within the Electronic Health Record system.
  • Administer psychotropic injections and provide essential therapy for clients with Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
  • Perform AIMS assessments for clients on select psychotropic medications or coordinate these assessments with other providers.
  • Review client Health Assessments, identifying potential risk factors and alerting providers accordingly. Conduct comprehensive Health Screens, emphasizing education, prevention, and harm reduction strategies.
  • Analyze lab results, document Clozapine results in the REMS system, and diligently monitor metabolic values.
  • Actively participate in the Utilization Review Committee and conduct Quality Indicator/Utilization Review activities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
