We are seeking a skilled Interventional Rad Technologist to join our team at Southcoast Health System.
About the Role:As an Interventional Rad Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities:- Perform patient assessments and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request.
- Obtain pertinent information from patients chart and document all data within the EHR.
- Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
- Identify, prepare, and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
- Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
- Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality.
- Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others and aware of MR safety practices.
- Assist physicians in performing procedures.
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- Attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Interventional Radiology RT(VI)/(CI)/or (CV).
- RT Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island required.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Cardiovascular Credentialing International is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Post-primary certification and ACLS is preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
