Banquet Houseperson Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Houseperson to join our team at the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo - a DoubleTree by Hilton. As a Banquet Houseperson, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our banquet functions and meeting rooms.

Responsibilities:
  • Review all banquet function sheets and set up each function room according to instructions.
  • Ensure that all required items are provided according to instructions.
  • Sign out necessary keys from a key lock box at the beginning of the shift and return keys at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness of banquet function spaces.
  • Continually maintain communication with the guest contact person for needed necessary items including but not limited to; extra chairs, tables, etc.
  • Inform supervisor of guest complaints/compliments.
  • Break down all equipment at the end of the function.
  • Return all equipment to the necessary storage location.
  • Must wear the required uniform. Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Open Availability, Day or Night Banquets.
  • Prior moving and set up of equipment.
Compensation:$16 per hour
