Banquet Houseperson Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Houseperson to join our team at the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo - a DoubleTree by Hilton. As a Banquet Houseperson, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our banquet functions and meeting rooms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Setup and Breakdown: Set up and break down all banquet functions and meeting rooms, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are in place.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Assist with food running, checking IDs/Tickets at events, and maintaining mid-event upkeep.
  • Communication and Coordination: Continuously maintain communication with the guest contact person to ensure that all necessary items are provided, including extra chairs, tables, and other equipment.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the cleanliness of banquet function spaces and ensure that all equipment is returned to its proper storage location.
  • Supervision and Reporting: Inform the supervisor of any guest complaints or compliments and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements: Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including days and nights, and must wear the required uniform. A neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance is also required.
