- Ensure precise, compliant, and timely registration of new patients to enhance service quality and facilitate financial reimbursement.
- Identify and rectify discrepancies or missing information while accurately entering data into the electronic medical record system.
- Verify insurance coverage or determine patient self-pay responsibilities, providing cost information and scheduling appointments with financial counselors when necessary.
- Schedule healthcare appointments based on patient needs and requests, adhering to clinic guidelines and interpreting physician orders for appointments and ancillary tests.
- Communicate appointment details and necessary preparations to ensure timely arrival and optimal reimbursement.
- Draft clerical and clinical messages from patients and healthcare professionals to administrative and provider staff, identifying urgent patient situations for immediate triage.
- Calm upset callers with a composed and professional demeanor, identifying and escalating priority issues for resolution.
The ideal candidate will possess: 2+ years of experience in a call center environment, with knowledge of medical terminology being advantageous.
