Warehouse Automation Maintenance Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Warehouse Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team in San Antonio, Texas.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Automation Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair complex automated systems in our warehouse. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience with computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automated systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to track and manage maintenance activities.
- Ensure spare parts inventories are maintained consistent with procedures.
- Participate in the development and improvement of maintenance policies and procedures.
- Ensure a clean and organized maintenance area.
- Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP's).
- Establish work schedules to meet operating and PM program demands.
Requirements:
- Vocational or technical certification in a related field or 3 years of relevant experience required.
- Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment intermediate required.
- Working knowledge of computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems intermediate required.
- Demonstrated independent problem-solving capability intermediate required.
- Ability to use PLC and HMI programming software to add form and function to an established program, Allen Bradley, Ignition, and Wonderware preferred.
- Understanding of 24VDC control systems, photoelectric & proximity sensors intermediate required.
- Experience with programming/troubleshooting Servo and Stepper motors and related software intermediate required.
- Ability to troubleshoot/program Bar Code Scanners and other Vision Systems, Specifically Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, etc. intermediate required.
- Warehouse maintenance safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out, Fall Restraint, and Forklift/MHE Operational Safety intermediate required.
- Knowledge of operating MHE, including Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, etc. intermediate required.
- Ability to work independently in a safe manner, including working at heights.
