Warehouse Automation Maintenance Technician Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Warehouse Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse automation equipment, including conveyor systems, sorters, and packers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Conduct regular inspections of automation equipment to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and optimize automation system performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for automation system maintenance and repair procedures.
Requirements:
  • Vocational or technical certification in a related field or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment.
  • Working knowledge of computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems.
  • Demonstrated independent problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to use PLC and HMI programming software.
