Ryder is seeking a skilled Production Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team in San Antonio, Texas.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Production Automation Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair complex warehouse automation equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience with computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse automation equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to track and manage maintenance activities.
  • Ensure spare parts inventories are maintained consistent with procedures.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and organized maintenance area.
  • Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP's).
  • Establish work schedules to meet operating and PM program demands.
Requirements:
  • Vocational or technical certification in a related field or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment.
  • Working knowledge of computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems.
  • Independent problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to use PLC and HMI programming software.
  • Understanding of 24VDC control systems and photoelectric/proximity sensors.
  • Experience with programming/troubleshooting servo and stepper motors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot/program bar code scanners and vision systems.
  • Warehouse maintenance safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of operating MHE, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
