Ryder is seeking a skilled Production Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team in San Antonio, Texas.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Production Automation Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair complex warehouse automation equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience with computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse automation equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to track and manage maintenance activities.
- Ensure spare parts inventories are maintained consistent with procedures.
- Participate in the development and improvement of maintenance policies and procedures.
- Ensure a clean and organized maintenance area.
- Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP's).
- Establish work schedules to meet operating and PM program demands.
- Vocational or technical certification in a related field or 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment.
- Working knowledge of computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems.
- Independent problem-solving capability.
- Ability to use PLC and HMI programming software.
- Understanding of 24VDC control systems and photoelectric/proximity sensors.
- Experience with programming/troubleshooting servo and stepper motors.
- Ability to troubleshoot/program bar code scanners and vision systems.
- Warehouse maintenance safety procedures.
- Knowledge of operating MHE, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
- Hourly pay $28.00+ per hour, based on experience.
- Second shift 4:00 pm - 4:30 am.
