Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Project Manager to lead our new construction projects in Elkridge, MD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and safety standards.

About the Role

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, overseeing everything from project initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, labor, and materials while maintaining high-quality work standards.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, local building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor project progress, produce daily reports, and address any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to communicate project milestones, progress, and adjustments.
  • Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Maintain quality control and ensure all work meets required specifications and standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other key project stakeholders.
  • Supervise and lead on-site personnel, ensuring the team works efficiently and effectively toward project goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in new construction, preferably with a General Contractor.
  • Strong background in managing large-scale commercial or residential construction projects.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
  • OSHA certification and first aid training preferred.
