Cybersecurity Course Instructor Position

UMGC is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials course (CMIT 351) in the School of Cybersecurity & Information Technology.

Course Description: This hands-on introduction to Cisco internetworking devices covers switching technologies and router operations that support small-to-medium business networks, including wireless local area networks (WLAN) and security concepts.

Responsibilities: The instructor will guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem- and project-based learning demonstrations. Additionally, the instructor will provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.

Requirements: A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning, as well as an ACTIVE and CURRENT Cisco CCNA certification, are required for this position. Professional experience in Computer Science or a related field and experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education are strongly preferred.
