Job Summary:

As a Radiology Imaging Specialist at Parkview North Hospital, you will operate diagnostic imaging equipment and perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures. You will work together with physicians to perform a variety of specialized procedures, setting up and adjusting equipment to obtain high-quality images. Your attention to detail and ability to position patients to obtain images of the area of interest will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and perform diagnostic imaging procedures
Work with physicians to perform specialized procedures
Set up and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality images
Position patients to obtain images of the area of interest
Obtain appropriate patient information for procedures
Provide radiation protection to patients, technologists, and others in the area
Recognize emergent situations and activate assistance as needed

Requirements:

Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training
Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
CPR certification required
Previous experience preferred, but not required
Ability to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs. shared lifting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
Ability to take call and work independently using critical thinking skills
