We're seeking an exceptional Financial Operations Coordinator to join our vibrant Catholic community at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in north Austin. As a key member of our team, you'll oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Your expertise will be invaluable in managing accounts payable, preparing and submitting financial reports, and maintaining internal controls.



Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable, including reviewing invoices, credit card purchases, and purchase orders for accuracy



• Prepare and submit Form 1099s for applicable vendors and Form 1096 to the Internal Revenue Service



• Reconcile monthly bank statements and oversee electronic giving programs



• Report tithing numbers weekly and backup electronic check depositing in the Accounting Assistant's absence



• Maintain payroll records, upload biweekly payroll from Paylocity to QuickBooks, and review budgeted vs. actual capital items



• Assist in preparing and submitting reports to the Diocese, including the Annual Financial Accountability Letter



Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business



• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on internal controls and financial reporting



• Certification in Diocese of Austin EIM within 60 days of employment, and maintenance of certification throughout employment



• Strong accounting proficiency, technical skills in QuickBooks Pro, Microsoft Office, and Ministry Platform database experience a plus



Estimated Salary:

Based on industry standards and location, we estimate the salary for this role to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
