Key Responsibilities
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children, protecting them from physical or emotional harm, and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
• Foster a positive experience for all children, families, and staff members, promoting dignity and respect for individual differences.
• Assist the Teacher in implementing daily curriculum, activities, and supplies, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience.
• Supervise and interact with children during mealtimes, rest periods, restroom times, and activity times, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with staff, children, and families to maintain open and effective communication, promoting a warm and professional atmosphere.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, stooping, walking, and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, as well as in emergency situations, a 40-pound child. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
