Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the general maintenance of our Ammonia Refrigeration System, including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration equipment and systems
  • Follow preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performance
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed to company standards and safety protocols
  • Report on parts inventory and complete required reports
  • Answer security and alarm calls as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Responsible for ammonia system and ensure no leaks
  • Notify area supervisor and maintenance manager of any potential threats to product safety
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • HVAC Certificate: Operator level I certificate in Ammonia Refrigerator Preferred
  • 2-5 years of equipment maintenance experience or schooling equivalent
  • 2-5 years of refrigeration maintenance and operations experience preferred
  • Ability to follow work procedures, safety rules, and food safety rules
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
  • Repairing/rebuilding equipment may require lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
  • Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to properly use various equipment and/or tools
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at higher elevations
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and operations
  • Ability to perform simple math calculations
  • Ability to write numeric and alphanumeric characters
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
