We are seeking a skilled Structural Designer to join our team at H&H in New Haven, CT.

With over 137 years of experience, H&H is a trusted full-service infrastructure engineering firm. Our clients rely on us for intricate and innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural design and analysis tasks for bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects under the oversight of a senior engineer.
  • Prepare contract documents for bridge design projects, including design calculations, developments of plans, specifications, quantities, and estimates, and submittal of reviews during construction.
  • Prepare detailed plans for assigned bridge engineering tasks.
  • Occasional field site visits.

Requirements:

  • BS in Civil Engineering required.
  • EIT Certification preferred.
  • Up to two years of experience.
  • MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Code Requirements.
  • Familiarity with Structural Engineering and Analysis software.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in cooperative, team environments.
