Job Summary

The Analytics Data Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable, optimized, and secure data pipelines on large volume data sets to enable actionable insights and strategy across various health system entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Query data across multiple sources, including patient data, treatment data, and research information.
  • Assist in designing and implementing data pipelines to ingest, clean, transform, and annotate large volume data sets from various sources.
  • Optimize pipeline performance and scalability by developing efficient SQL queries.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including HIPAA and Saint Francis Health System (SFHS) Information Technology (IT) Data Security policy and standards.
  • Collaborate with researchers and data scientists to develop specifications for data to be exported and analyzed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between research team, IT staff, and Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) Program staff to ensure accurate and timely collection and clarification of clinical data points.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in Epic development, Data Science/Engineering, or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of structured query language (SQL) and data catalogs.
  • Proven knowledge of data management to understand integrity issues and facilitate their resolution.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Relationships

Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level and above.
